Mr. Toad's Pottery is a small, local, female-owned modern art studio located in LaVale, MD. Our customers enjoy creating fine arts in our fun, relaxing & clean studio. We offer pottery painting, colorbook canvas for walk in painting.  Other mixed media, canvas, candles, stoneware and clay art mediums are offered at workshops. We also offer parties for all occasions, custom painting, kids classes, summer camps, special events and much more.

We work as a team to assist our customers and strive to provide a fun environment for families and friends to create art together. Team members are trained to assist guests in a friendly efficient manner, work with glazes and design tools, teach techniques, teach customers how to use all of our tools to facilitate their art, host fun birthday parties & events, glaze pottery and operate kilns. Team members are expected to work hard, but have fun doing it!

  • Has great basic math skills and experience using a point of sale system

  • Can lift heavy things (50 lbs) and be on their feet during a shift (6-8 hours)

  • Available regularly for weekend, evenings and holiday shifts

  • Previous retail or restaurant experience a plus

  • Please note that this is a year-round position. We do not hire seasonally.

All applicants should be fun, friendly, positive, energetic, eager to learn, share and work hard. Absolutely no art or ceramics experience is required.
