About the event
đ§ Get your hands dirty and create a handmade kitchen favorite in this fun and beginner-friendly clay handbuilding workshop! In this special class, youâll craft your very own muffin tin using durable mid-fire stoneware clay. Choose between one oversized single muffin tin or a double regular-size muffin tin, both perfect for baking sweet or savory treats at home.
Our instructor will guide you through the basics of handbuilding, then itâs your turn to shape, smooth, and personalize your piece. Add textures, stamps, carved details, or keep it simple and classic. Your muffin tin can be as playful or practical as youâd like!
Once your piece is created, it will be kiln-fired for the first time. After that, youâll be invited back to the studio to paint and glaze your muffin tin however youâd like, followed by a second firing to give it a beautiful finished look. Best of all, the project price is all-inclusive, covering both firings and your return visit to paint!
đ˝ď¸ Why stoneware?
Stoneware clay is perfect for functional kitchen pieces because it is strong, durable, and made for everyday use. Once finished, your muffin tin will be microwave safe, dishwasher safe, and oven safeâmaking it as useful as it is unique.
