Standing Gourd Clay Handbuilding Workshop

Get your hands in the clay and create a fall favorite of your very own! In this hands-on clay handbuilding workshop, guests will create a standing gourd, then add their own personal flair with textures, cutouts, and other creative details.

You'll have your choice of clay body for your project, giving you the opportunity to create a piece with a look that's uniquely yours. Once your gourd is built, we'll take care of the drying and firing process. When your piece is ready, you'll be able to return during regular studio hours to paint and personalize it however you'd like!

🍂 Choose Your Clay

Guests can choose from:

• Low Fire Earthenware for a classic pottery look. Our classic Low Fire Earthenware Clay body is great for indoor use only. This clay body will be painted with any glazes from the front studio paint bar.

• Mid Fire Stoneware in either White or Brown Speckled clay. Our durable Mid-Fire Stoneware Clay body is great for outdoor use, is dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. This clay body can be painted with our speciality stoneware glazes.

🎟️ Ticket & Project Information

Your ticket reserves your seat in the workshop and covers all guided instruction.

Your clay project is paid for at the event, with pricing based on the clay body you choose. Project pricing is all-inclusive and covers all materials, both firings, glazing, finishing, and sales tax.

Project price for Low Fire Earthenware is $35 or Mid-Fire Stoneware is $55. 

Once your project has been fired and is ready, come back during regular studio hours to paint it your way! We'll take care of the final glazing and firing so your finished gourd is ready to display.

This is a TICKETED WORKSHOP. Walk-in painting is welcome until 8p!

Workshop participation requires a ticket.

Refund & Cancellation Policy: At Mr. Toad's Pottery, we strive to provide a creative and enriching environment through our various classes, workshops, and special events. Please review our detailed cancellation and refund policy below, which is tailored to different event types:

Workshops, Classes, Paint & Sips, Art Camps:

• Minimum Participants:

  A minimum of 4 participants is required to hold a workshop or class.

• Cancellation by Us:

  If we do not reach this minimum, we may contact you one week in advance to encourage additional sign-ups. If the minimum is still not met 48 hours before the event, we will either transfer your registration to another class or issue a full refund.

• Cancellation by You:

  If you need to cancel your attendance, please do so at least 48 hours before your scheduled class to receive a credit for a future class. This credit will be valid for use within the next three months. Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 48 hours before the class will not receive a credit or refund.

  You may cancel your participation via phone, email, or online.

• Refunds:

  When refunds are issued, they will be processed to your original form of payment within 5-7 business days.
