Toadily Wrapped In Love: Community Stitching Workshop

Join us for the very first Toadily Wrapped in Love Beginner Knitting Workshop at Mr. Toad’s Pottery—a welcoming, hands-on introduction to knitting or crocheting for a meaningful cause.

This workshop is designed especially for absolute beginners. We’ll guide you step-by-step through the basics of knitting while creating newborn hats and comfort octopus that will be donated to babies in our local hospital nursery.

💛 No experience is needed.💛 All supplies are provided.💛 Every stitch helps wrap a newborn in care and comfort.

✨ What You’ll Learn

• How to cast on (knitting)

• The basic knit & purl stitch (knitting)

• How to start a chain (crocheting)

• Single Crochet stitch (crocheting)

• How to start a simple newborn hat

• The first Wednesday of each month we will introduce a new skill or project

You’ll leave with the confidence to continue knitting/crochet at future meetups—even if you’ve never picked up needles or hooks before.

• Yarn, needles, and tools for use during the workshop

• Guided instruction and hands-on support

• A cozy, welcoming creative space

• A handwritten maker tag to sign your work before it’s donated, proudly labeled Toadily Wrapped in Love

👶 Family-Friendly Note

Toddlers are welcome to attend with their grown-up. We’ll have a small kids table with coloring pages and toys available. This is not a drop-off childcare program.

After this workshop, participants are invited to join our ongoing Toadily Wrapped in Love stitching group, which meets every other Wednesday to continue creating together.

We happily accept donations of yarn, knitting needles, and crochet hooks to help support our community stitching group. All donated supplies go directly toward creating items for newborns in our local hospital.
