    Want to host your next event, office party, team building or birthday party at Mr. Toad's Pottery and prefer to have a private event where you get to bring food, drinks and choose anything to paint? Then you have come to the right place! This reservation will guarantee your date and time selected to have a private 3 hour paint party, where you or your guests can choose and pay for what they paint the day of your event. Enjoy the Private Event Studio, where a dedicated art assistant will be there to help you and your guests have the best painting experience possible. During your three hour paint party, we recommend you set aside a half hour for set up and/or decorating at the beginning of your reservation and then give yourself about 15 minutes for clean up towards the end of your visit. All set up and clean up must happen within your reservation time slot. We will do all of the art clean up, you just have to worry about taking left over food and drink home. Would you like a private canvas event for you and your guests to be walked step by step through one of our canvas designs? If so, request it in your reservation and we will let you know if our lead artist will be available for the date you have requested. Cost for canvas' varies by the design selection, our more advanced licensed designs are $45 for a 16" x 20" canvas and our less advance designs are $35. Space for 34 painters Leave the clean up to us, we take care of everything!

Here’s how it works: We set a ticket price together, and 100% of the ticket sales are donated directly to your cause. If your event has more than 25 painters, we’ll sweeten the pot — an additional 10% of the night’s sales will be donated too! We waive our normal $275 private event fee for these special nights because we believe in supporting great causes. We help promote your event across our website, social media, email newsletter, in-studio tv, and print calendar — but your active promotion is critical for success! Want to make it even more memorable? Consider offering refreshments, hosting a raffle, or bringing something unique and exciting — like adorable animals from a local shelter, a photo booth with a special guest, or prize drawings for your guests. Important Details About Promotion: We have found that events are most successful when the host actively promotes and shares the event. We strongly encourage you to: Create a Facebook event and invite your friends. Share the direct ticket link from our website in your posts and invitations. Post updates and reminders as the date approaches. Personally reach out to your community, club members, coworkers, and friends. Tickets must be purchased in advance through our website to secure a seat. We cannot accommodate walk-ins for Painting with a Purpose events. Want to make your event even more memorable?   • Wheel Private Session

    Looking for a hands-on, one-on-one experience at the pottery wheel? Our Wheel 1:1 session is perfect for beginners as young as 10 who want to dip their hands into clay without the commitment of a full class. You'll get personalized guidance from a trained team member as you learn to center, pull, and shape your own pottery! Session Fee: $65 Includes 1 hour of instruction, clay, and all tools. Want to keep a masterpiece? Choose your favorite piece(s) to finish — for $35 per piece, we’ll fire it, and you’ll return to glaze it during open studio hours. We'll take care of the final firing so it’s ready to take home and treasure! You can choose to bring a partner or make it a party by adding additional seats to your reservation, as well as extend your time on the wheel!

During our Artful Experience, participants will not only engage in hands-on pottery projects but also receive an exclusive full studio tour of our kiln room. At our event space, which can accommodate up to 34 painters, we invite you to host your private art event. The rental space, valued at $150, is generously donated to your group, ensuring that the funds go towards supporting your artistic endeavors. During the event, participants will have the joy of choosing from a variety of exciting art projects. They can unleash their imagination by opting for a Colorbook Canvas, where they can bring a pre-drawn canvas to life with vibrant colors and their unique artistic style. Alternatively, participants can engage in the timeless art of ceramics by painting their own bowl, mug, or plate. Using custom silk screen transfers, they can add intricate designs and personalize their creations, turning them into functional works of art. For those who want to get their hands dirty and explore the tactile world of clay, we offer a clay hand building project. Participants will learn the art of making a simple pinch bowl using clay, and the best part is they can paint and decorate their creation on the same day. Throughout the event, our dedicated art assistants will be on hand to provide guidance and support, ensuring that each child has a memorable and enriching experience. The Artful Experience typically last one and a half hours, providing ample time for children to explore their artistic abilities and create something truly special. Whether it's a scout group, homeschool group, or youth group, our artful experience is designed to cater to the interests and needs of boys and girls alike.     Schedule your handmade clay impressions gift appointment today for your two or four legged kiddo. One appointment is needed for up to three children, multiple impressions of each child can be taken during your appointment. Appointment reservation fee will go towards your choice of keepsakes made during your appointment, additional keepsakes need to be paid for the day of the appointment. Create a Keepsake ornament, plaque or dish out of their hand, foot or paw impressions.     Host your next field trip with Mr. Toad's Pottery, where your students will be immersed in art during their memorable, yet educational experience. We can accommodate up to 75 students at a time. Great for schools, daycares, summer camps and homeschool groups! Minimum of 30 students required for a field trip. Our field trips run for 1.5 to 2 hours, this gives children time to paint their pottery (1 hour), go on a studio tour of our kiln room where they are educated on the pottery process (30 mins), then an optional additional 30 minutes to enjoy their lunch at their table before being dismissed and loaded back on the bus.   • Non-Profit Group Private Paint Party

    At Mr. Toad’s Pottery, we are proud to support our local non-profit organizations by offering our event space for private youth group paint parties! Perfect for church youth groups, Girl Scouts, and more, this 1.5-hour event is designed for fun, creativity, and bonding through ornament painting. What’s Included: * Waived Event Space Fee: Normally $75 per hour, this fee is waived for non-profits with a valid tax-exempt certificate (required to be emailed to mrtoad@mrtoadspottery.com to confirm your event). * Use of our Event Space: Bring food, decorations or host your next gathering at Mr. Toad's while your group bonds and paints pottery together * Attendees must paint while attending a Non-Profit Paint Party Event Recommended Schedule: First 15 minutes: Set up, bring in any decorations or food. Next 60 minutes: Pottery painting fun! Last 15 minutes: Clean up and farewells. The party host can choose to cover the cost of everyone's pottery or allow each guest to pay for their own. We recommend sticking to the 1.5-hour timeframe to ensure a smooth event and allow for the next party to set up.

Our Party in a Bucket includes everything you need for a colorful, memorable gathering—paint, brushes, palettes, water cups, and our easy-to-follow Party Guide. Just add water and let the creativity flow! Rent your Party in a Bucket for just $50, and when your group spends $250 or more on pottery or canvases, your rental fee is credited back toward your purchase. Perfect for birthdays, family gatherings, scout groups, school events, church activities, and more!

  • Try It Wheel Throwing Class

    Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, our seasoned potter will expertly guide you through the process, ensuring a fun and engaging class for all levels. In this class, you will: Learn the basics of throwing on the wheel: Our experienced potter will provide step-by-step instructions on how to center your clay on the wheel and create a bowl or vessel. Create three different pots: During the class, you will have the chance to throw three pots. If you'd like to keep a pot you throw it's just $35 each. Trim, dry, and bisque fire your pots: Your favorite pot(s) will be carefully trimmed, dried, and bisque fired. After two weeks, they will be ready for you to pick up and paint in our studio. All-inclusive painting experience: Once you paint your pot(s), the price you paid for the extra pot covers all your paint, supplies, studio time, glazing, and final firing. No additional fees will be required for the painting, firing or finishing process. Instruction and demonstration: Our potter will provide thorough instruction and demonstrations to help you understand and master the basics of wheel throwing. You will also learn how to properly clean and care for the wheel. Please come dressed for a little mess and bring an apron or towel to protect your lap. Aprons are not provided, so make sure to bring your own. It's important to note that firing your piece is not included in the $50 class fee. However, for a nominal fee of $35 per pot, we will fire your additional pots. Approximately two weeks after the class, you can return to glaze your pots and complete the finishing touches. Please keep in mind that all pots created in this class will be held for a period of 30 days. After that time, they will no longer be available for pickup. Additionally, due to class size and availability, we do not offer refunds or rescheduling of classes. This Try It Thursday Wheel Clay Throwing Class is open to ages 16 and up. For artists under 16, we require a parent also be registered and prepared to assist their child during their throwing experience. It's a wonderful opportunity to explore your creativity and enjoy the therapeutic art of clay throwing. IMPORTANT NOTICE: While rare, accidents can happen during the kiln firing process. If your clay project is affected, we will provide a credit equal to the cost of your piece, which you can use for an in-studio paint project.
